ABC's television show that aired on feb13th was meanrt to entertain people some people where not very impressed and neither where officials with the State Departmernt of children families John Harvell spokes man for DCF's North East regional office in Jackson ville said that the agency is investigating complaints of Child Abuse and neglect after seeing how the Phil davis smacked his small child on the face. DcF is till investigating and its trying to make sure that the family receive all the help they can as counseling officials are still investigating that the child is safe at home and that this is not something continous the proucer of the show is investigating that the father is really reaceiving counseling to prevent this from happening again. the Davis family came to the attention of law enforcement friday after viewers called and reported what they saw on the show as child abuse the sheriffs report stated the mother told officials that there where 15 to 30 people in their house while the show was being taped and that if anyone wouldve seen anything innapropiate the show wouldve been stoped or cancelled. investigators also interviewed neighbors and they said that they looked like a regular normal family and that they had never seen signs of child abuse or neglect.a sheriff's sargeant viewed a clip on you tube.com and that the incident was just of parental discpline. but they are still investigating. Gary Davidson also part of the investigating crew said that the patrol sargeant didnt have the last word in stating that the sargeant didnt have the last word in sating that it was parental discipline he said that the sargeant doesnt have the last word and isnt the final authority on wether criminal offense occured.

  1. This is just interesting that even in a place that is supposed to be a "safe environment to children" these kinds of things happen. Now it becomes different when it is taped as a reality TV show and it also differs if the father really did abuse of the child in front of cameras. In the end i guess we have to be careful with the things we do, there is always a fly on the wall

  2. There are several places where children aren't safe in the world. You would think while being at home, they should have no worries. Just because it is a reality show doesn't mean you should act any different then you would from every other day. You want to impress people and show that things are looking up, not down. Always watch what you do!

  3. Child abuse is a huge threat to children now a days. Wether its on tv or behind the scenes children are being hurt and neglected without the protection of a sherriff etc. Its very alarming.

  4. TO me its not suprising at all that a nanny is being investgrated for child abuse. i was felt very uncomfortable with sending my child to anyone but my family. but what is surprising and disappointing is that she is seen as a public figure to troubled parents.
